Philosophy and Purpose

The SHBC Student Ministry exists to Connect Young people with God and with God’s family.

Luke 9:23, “Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’”

Simply put we accomplish our mission by:

1) Creating Irresistible Environments that attract, connect, and impact outsiders.

2) Being a community of believers committed to Leveraging Irresistible Influence in the community and abroad.

Objectives and Goals

Ø To Connect the unchurched students in Roane County with God.

Ø To Reach beyond our immediate location through mission trips and community outreach

Ø To Enlist caring, understanding, mature Adult leadership for the student ministry

Ø To Build up dedicated, Biblically educated champions of Christ

Ø To be a force in our community for God’s causes

Ø To partner with parents and minister to the whole family
